Nog een operatie / Another surgery

Het plassen gaat nog steeds niet goed. Bijna elke keer bij het plassen, moet ik dilateren met een catheter. En dit is echt pijnlijk, waarschijnlijk omdat ik de catheter zo ver moet drukken tot achter de vernauwing. En dit is misschien wel 'oud' weefsel, waar gewoon gevoel in zit. Daarnaast is het lastig in het gewone leven, hier telkens rekening mee te moeten houden. Al met al niet zo fijn en daarom word ik weer geopereerd. Eind juni word ik door dr. Bouman en een uroloog; dr. Meuleman weer in de VU geopereerd. Het is een korte opname van 1 nachtje. Ik moet me donderdags om 10 uur melden, ga die dag nog onder het mes. De dag erna mag ik weer naar huis. Wel met een catheter. De uroloog zei dat die drie weken moest blijven zitten, de plastisch chirurg zei 1 week. We zullen zien! Ik ben blij dat er nu een datum is, aangezien je zo ook niets kunt beginnen.

ENGLISH: Peeing still isn't working well. Almost every time I have to go to the toilet, I have to dilate with a catheter. And that's pretty painful, probably because I have to push the catheter in so deep, untill behind the stricture. I think that is the place where 'old tissue' starts, where I have sensation. Besides, it's difficult in my practical life, to always have to think about this. All together not so much fun, and that's why I'm having a surgery again. At the end of june dr. Bouman and urologist dr. Meuleman are gonna proceed the surgery. It's short stay, only 1 night. I have to be there on thursday morning at 10 o'clock and gonna have that surgery that same day. I can probably leave again by friday. With a catheter that is. The urologist said I had to have this catheter for three weeks. The plastic surgeon that it would be for only one week. We will see! I'm so glad I have a surgery date now, since I can't start anything right now!

GEVOEL / SENSATION

Goed nieuws over het gevoel in de penis! Dat begint namelijk al goed vorm te krijgen. Bij aanraking tot ongeveer de helft van de penis zit al gevoel. En naar mijn idee wordt dit steeds verder. De zenuwen hebben elkaar dus goed gevonden en connecteren weer! Wat een geweldig nieuws!

Good news about sensation I have in the penis. It's beginning to take place more and more now. When I touch it, I already have sensation until about halfway along the penis. And I got a feeling that this will become more and more. The nerves have found each other and connect! What a great news!
