Update 2019

Hi all (for English, scroll below).

ENGLISH: Hi all, At this moment (january 2019) I am more than 7 years phalloplasty post-op surgery. I still see a lot of people visiting this blog from all over the world. More than enough reason to make an update every now and then. Not much has changed physicially. Last summer (2018) I went to the plastic surgeon (who performed the phalloplasty). He still thinks he did a good job (which I agree on!). He says I am still a good candidate for a neo urethra through the phallo. Untill now I haven't decided to do so. I am fine the way my body is right now. Of course, I would have loved to have the perfect picture (stand up peeing), but this is how it is. The time after my surgery (2012) where I couldn't pee at all was so frustrating, even now when I think back about that time. I don't want that anymore! My body is never going to be biologically as it was supposed to be (male). It's not going to be perfect and I have now accepted that. It is really fine. I can live with that. The longer ago my surgery and transition is, the more I can go on with my life. Up untill a few years ago I was in the middle of my transition and that was pretty much a big part of my daily life. Right now the whole transition is more and more on the background. It is still there, but that's okay. Because transition is not something I am embarrased about or don't want to think about. It is a part of me and made me who I am. I am proud of that and brought me a lot of good things!
